In 1 AS, the inhabited star Nox was deliberately extinguished. Its light contracted inward, vanished into absolute darkness and returned as the Wake: a silent disturbance in hyperspace and the Force. The Wake blinded relays, corrupted navigation, damaged infrastructure, erased selected records and isolated regions. No recognised authority can prove who murdered Nox, why it was selected or whether another star can be killed.
